We have a new Soprano and Alto saxophone in band. wow so shiny, like a star. hahaha. I went back for band today. I'm so proud of Henry, our new president, a saxophonist. (:

This is for the information of TONY, who didn't come for band today, and didn't pick up my call, and didn't reply my sms!

Walking Down Memory Lane
Thank you NPCB, for making Rondeau XXIV a success. Last Saturday's concert was really an enjoyable one. I enjoyed playing the pieces and spending time with my friends in band. More than just Saturday itself, the past 2 years in NPCB has really made an impact in my life, and it means something to me in my heart.

I remember when I first came in, it wasn't quite normal as I was in Year 2, and I joined alone. My first friend like I mentioned, was Azri. He, together with the saxophone section was so nice to me. I decided to stay. When I sat down for the 2nd practice, I met Awsome, I thought he was Year 1, and I asked him "you think you will stay in band or not" He told me he was Year 3. Hahaha somemore he was a committee member.

2008 had been an eventful year for NPCB!
My first section photo:

Around that time, we had our first outing, to watch Jefferson play at the Esplanade.

Jefferson has always been so zai. :)

I'm not sure if I got the order of timing right. But anyway, this was PnC camp. Taking photos while having sectionals. I loved having sinyi around at that time.
And as always, concert was always shortly after each camp. Concert was at school Convention Center. Haha so cool, sax section with hot pink ties. I still have it in my cupboard.

Around July in 2008, Lily fell down the stairs and landed up in hospital! The whole section went to visit her with an elmo balloon. Heh look at her beanie. :P We even played games at the hospital and tony had to do a forfiet by turning round in circles around us. AND someone had to donate blood. hmm wonder who it was. (:And who can forget, SENTOSA! An outdoor performance, which ks and Carissa came to watch. (: Tony looked so different in 2008. Lily also!

Almost immediatly after, I think, we had SIBF competition at RP, in which we played Gallimaufry. Won't forget that song, cause we played it like a million times.

Lily and Sinyi came to show their support. (:

During the year, it was when we had NPCB D&D as well. D&D takes place every 5 years. Even the alumni band will join in for D&D. Tony got the D&D "king" for that night. I think more like Himbo for the night. haha.

Doesn't he look crazy here? haha I know Yvonne likes this crazy photo of himbo.

Next event, Rondeau XXIII Camp in beginning of Jan. This camp as far as I remembered was enjoyable. Cause we didn't need to do anything, just wait for next event, and wait to be served haha. I miss the games we had at night. Face painting and all.

And of course, always and forever, BEST SECTION! :D

Actually concert day, Rondeau XXIII. Our favourite piece, The Cowboys Overture! Heh the ultimate piece of the year. I think I still can't play it well till today haha. I remember that during practices, we always wanted lily to keep playing her solo for jap graf. lily always so shy (:

It was time for the seniors to leave after this concert. Tony and I were crying. haha it was funny to see Tony cry cause he looked like a little boy heh. But I'm glad that when they left we all got closer and noobshits was formed.

Yup, that was my eventful, awesome, memorable, fantastic first year in band.

On to the next year, where Tony and I were practically alone, with each other to depend on. But things became better when our cute and crazy juniors came in on the tune-in day.
They were all so innocent and shy when they came in. what happened!!! hahahha.

Had a great time with them la, section dinner, sectionals, and section outings. (:
Here's Ripieno camp for you, I didn't upload them on facebook hehe.

Oh this reminds me, what happened to the section photobucket account? Hmm.

Ripieno:
Wasnt as fantastic/exciting as the other concerts. But oh well, I'll still remember it la. heh.

Ok ok, now for the zhong dian. RONDEAU XXIV. I just listened to the recording. Great job everyone, I think the band really improved throughout the months of hard work. I'm so proud of everyone. Esp my section, who have been coming so consistently for the last week of rehearsals.
Thank you Tony, Leonard, Cruyff, Eddy, Huaiyi, Yvonne, Henry, Jue Pei, Shenlynn, Hannah. I really appreciate all of you standing by me, and giving it all you have and making this concert memorable, and a success. love you guys. (':

Our section hoodie, I'm so proud of it.

Last band practice:

I will miss you, chorales:

And of course you, my love:

And you all:
I think I've seen myself grow so much through experiences in this band, in terms of musicality and character. I've had so much fun here that poly life wouldn't have been this great without being in band.

Really love this photo. So nice

Other concert photos can be seen on facebook.

This post is so long, I took 2 days to compose it.

I know I should stop dwelling in the past and move on, cause the future's gonna be great. (:
